Video FAQs

Anybody who is in this country and works deserves to be paid for the time that they’ve worked and to be paid overtime for any hours that they worked more than 40 hours a week unless they’re exempt in some way.

Your immigration status has nothing to do with your rights under this law. In fact, most courts will prevent anybody from asking you what your immigration status is because it’s simply not relevant.

Come talk to a lawyer, your conversation with that lawyer, as the lawyer will tell you, will be confidential and the lawyer will not even take any action until you authorize him or her to do so. Once you give authorization to take action, no retaliation can be made against you because of your immigration status and you have every right to pursue your claim the same as anybody else in this country.
